Give orange me (2024) | mixed choir a cappella | 3 minutes
 
“Give orange me” sets a 16-word-long sentence by Neam “Nim” Chimpsky, the chimpanzee subject of an animal language acquisition study at Columbia University starting in the 1970s. This fun, upbeat piece aims to highlight the silliness of the sentence (“Give orange me give eat orange me eat orange give me eat orange give me you.”) while raising awareness of unethical animal studies.
