I have been interested in the world of fungi for as long as I can remember. My fascination with fungi inspired me to write and set to music a text about foxfire, the glow of bioluminescent fungi. When seen in a dark place, these fungi appear magical. Through timbral effects and modal exploration, “FOXFIRE”’s performers and listeners can experience this magic.
