I composed "Oh, you gentle winds" for the First Christian Church (Bloomington, IN) Sanctuary Choir, of which I was a part of. Jan Harrington directs the choir and was a great mentor to me. He asked that I compose an anthem for Pentecost, and I enthusiastically agreed. The descent of the Holy Spirit is one of the more inspiring parts of the Bible for me, and so I composed a text that captures the Spirit that connects us all.
