I composed 'cantstop' as a way of expressing how I feel when I am experiencing mania. 

It tells the story of an unusually intense episode I experienced in my struggles with addiction this past fall. The first half of the piece, with its quick and constant motion, represents a more frantic and unsettling state of being in a relapse. The second half, with its tonal ambiguity and flickers of unfamiliar sound, represents the absence of ease I feel even after regaining control.
